The Coravin Standard Needle is the fundamental component of the Coravin system: a medical-grade stainless steel needle designed to pass through the cork stopper without damaging it, allowing you to pour wine directly from the bottle and preserve the rest for weeks, months or years without compromising quality.
How the Coravin Standard Needle works
The needle pierces the cork and, thanks to the injection of inert argon gas, the wine is forced out of the bottle without coming into contact with oxygen. Upon removal of the needle, the cork closes naturally, preserving the quality of the remaining wine intact.
