The Silikomart SK 4000 mould is an egg-shaped mould made from food-grade semi-rigid thermoformed plastic, with a single cavity of 220×160 mm (h 80 mm) and capacity for eggs of approximately 350 g. The controlled rigidity of the material ensures stability during tempering, facilitates chocolate release, and preserves surface brilliance — three fundamental requirements for a professional result.

Key features

  • Thermoformed semi-rigid plastic suitable for food contact
  • Capacity for chocolate eggs of approximately 350 g
  • Controlled rigidity ensures stability during tempering and makes chocolate easy to release
  • Residual flexibility makes release easy without distorting the glossy surface of the finished egg
  • Single-cavity design lets you make perfectly symmetrical whole eggs in two successive stages

Single cavity: production versatility

The single-cavity configuration allows you to create perfectly symmetrical whole eggs by working the same mould in two successive phases. For high-production periods — Easter foremost — using two SK 4000 units in parallel allows you to alternate between tempering and cooling phases, doubling output without compromising quality.

The semi-rigid material ensures the mould maintains its shape under the weight of molten chocolate, while residual flexibility facilitates release without deforming the finished egg's glossy surface.

Technical tips for tempering

  • Dark chocolate: working temperature 31–32 °C
  • Milk chocolate: working temperature 29–30 °C
  • Gradual cooling to prevent thermal shock and crystallisation defects
  • Acquire at least 2 SK 4000 moulds to optimise production cycles in the laboratory

Professional applications

The SK 4000 mould is suitable for artisanal pastry shops, chocolate laboratories, high-end hotels and restaurants, event catering, and custom Easter egg production for window displays and buffets.
