REMO KAL HW – Professional Descaler and Deoxidiser for Hard Water
REMO KAL HW is a slightly acidic liquid with a rosy colour, formulated with inhibitors that prevent its solutions from attacking treated surfaces. A truly safe product to use, it removes limescale deposits and oxidation even in the presence of very hard water, without requiring preliminary cleaning operations — except in the presence of exceptionally stubborn fatty deposits. Available in 6 kg packaging for intensive and continuous use.
Main Applications
REMO KAL HW is indicated for the maintenance of boiler coils, industrial dishwashers, washing machines, food production facilities, cooling systems, radiators and oxidised metal surfaces. It can be used for immersion or circulation, and can circulate in steam generators even at elevated temperatures without risk of damage to internal components.
Compared to muriatic acid and other commonly used acids as descalers, REMO KAL HW is far less corrosive to steel, brass, copper and most metals. Warning: the product may attack cast iron if treated simultaneously with copper and brass.
Instructions for Use
Equipment: Tanks and structures used must be in steel, preferably stainless.
Concentration: REMO KAL HW is generally used at a concentration of 10–30% v/v in water, depending on the type of operation, the amount of deposits or rust and the nature of the materials. Treatment is significantly faster if conducted hot, up to a maximum of 70°C.
Rinsing: At the end of descaling, rinse thoroughly by circulation or with pressurised water. Parts treated with REMO KAL HW generally do not require neutralisation: abundant rinsing with water is sufficient.
